Overview
Microsoft has announced that TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 will be deprecated for Azure Application Gateways in August 2025.
This affects all customers using Zap Data Hub with HandiSoft who rely on the Zap Data Gateway connector.
As a result, the minimum server requirement for running the Zap Data Gateway will increase, and customers using older Windows Server versions must take action to avoid service interruption.
What is changing
TLS deprecation
Microsoft will disable support for:
TLS 1.0
TLS 1.1
After 31 August 2025, Azure Application Gateways will only support newer TLS versions.
Impact on Zap Data Gateway
Due to these changes:
The minimum supported operating system for the Zap Data Gateway will become Windows Server 2016
Windows Server 2012 will no longer support the Zap Data Gateway after 31 August 2025
If your Data Gateway is running on Windows Server 2012, the connector will stop functioning after the cutoff date.
What you need to do
1. Upgrade your server
Upgrade your HandiSoft server to Windows Server 2016 or later.

2. Reinstall the Zap Data Gateway
Once your server has been upgraded, reinstall the Zap Data Gateway.
