The HandiSoft model requires the new version of the Zap Data Hub Data Gateway. The Data Gateway must be installed on the server where HandiSoft is installed, and the service must be running before HandiSoft data can be processed in Zap Data Hub.

How to install the Data Gateway for HandiSoft

Log in to Zap Data Hub as an Administrator or Full Designer

Click the settings cog in the top-right

1. Log in to Zap Data Hub as an Administrator or Full Designer
2. Click the settings cog in the top-right
3. Select Data gateways

Click Download installer to get the latest Data Gateway setup file

1. Click Download installer to get the latest Data Gateway setup file

3. Install the Data Gateway on the server

Run the installer on the same server where HandiSoft is installed

Ensure the Data Gateway service is running

4. Confirm the gateway connection in Zap Data Hub

Double-click the Access HandiSoft source

Select Test connection to confirm the gateway is communicating successfully

1. Open Resource Explorer
2. Expand Access HandiSoft
3. Double-click the Access HandiSoft source
4. Click the HandiSoft hyperlink
5. Complete the Connection details
6. Select Test connection to confirm the gateway is communicating successfully

The new Data Gateway requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8. Previous versions used .NET 4.5.1, so this may need to be updated on your server.

Note: Installing .NET Framework 4.8 requires a server restart once installation is complete
