Zap Data Hub – Update HandiTax and ATO dashboard data

Keep ATO dashboards current by downloading the Income Tax Client Report in HandiTax, then allow Zap Data Hub to update overnight or run a manual process

Zap Data Hub displays ATO report information extracted directly from HandiTax.
To keep your dashboards accurate, you must regularly download the Income Tax Client Report in HandiTax.


After downloading the report, Zap Data Hub will automatically update the data overnight—or you can manually process it if you need the update immediately.

Update ATO and HandiTax data in Zap Data Hub

1. Download the Income Tax Client Report in HandiTax

  1. Open HandiTax

  2. Go to ATO Reports > Income Tax Client Report

  3. Select the Tax Agent

  4. Select Practice

  5. Enter your Credential Password

  6. Click Request to download the report

2. View the report to complete the update

  1. Go to ATO Reports > View ATO Reports

  2. Highlight the downloaded report

  3. Click View

Viewing the report finalises the download so Zap Data Hub can import it.

How Zap Data Hub updates the data

Once the report has been downloaded and viewed, Zap Data Hub will:

  • Automatically process the updated HandiTax data overnight

  • Refresh the HandiTax dashboards and ATO data

  • Make the updates available in the Accountant Solution the next day

If you need the update immediately, you can run a manual process.

Manually process the HandiSoft solution in Zap Data Hub

1. Open the HandiSoft solution

  1. Log in to Zap Data Hub

  2. Click the folder ellipsis icon

  3. In Resource Explorer, expand Public > Access HandiSoft Solution

  4. Double-click Access HandiSoft Solution

2. Run the manual process

  1. In the new tab, select Process model

  2. Keep the settings as default

  3. Click Process, then select OK

Zap Data Hub will process the updated HandiTax data immediately.
