Zap Data Hub – Select multiple entities on a dashboard or report

Enable multi‑select slicers so dashboards and reports can show combined data for multiple entities

Zap Data Hub can be opened in Consumer view or Designer view:

  • Consumer view: View dashboards and reports

  • Designer view: Create, modify and delete resources

To enable multi‑select entity slicers, you must use Designer view.

How to enable entity multi‑selection

1. Switch to Designer view

  1. If you are in Consumer view, click the vertical lines icon

  2. Select Designer

2. Open the report or dashboard

  1. Open Resource Explorer

  2. Select the dashboard or report you want to update

3. Edit the slicer settings

  1. Click the Edit (pencil) icon on the right‑hand side

  2. Select the Cube tab

  3. Under Dashboard slicers, right‑click the slicer you want to modify

  4. Go to Slicer type

  5. Select Multi‑select

4. Select multiple entities

  1. Return to the dashboard or report

  2. Inspect the entity slicer

  3. Tick multiple entities as needed to populate the combined data
