Zap Data Hub – Change the type of data imported into HandiLedger

Switch the HandiLedger import style between Net movement (default) and Full trial balance by updating a parameter in the data source and then processing the model

Zap Data Hub can import data into HandiLedger using two methods:

  • Net Movement (default)

  • Full Trial Balance

If your HandiLedger import is incorrectly showing Full Trial Balance instead of Net Movement, a parameter in Zap Data Hub needs to be updated.

How to change the HandiLedger import type

1. Open the Accountant Solution

  1. Click the folder ellipsis

  2. In Resource Explorer, expand Public

  3. Expand Access Accountant Solution

  4. Double‑click the blue Access Accountant Solution item

2. Open the data source settings

  1. Select your data source (e.g., MYOB Essentials)

  2. Click the Parameters tab

3. Update the LedgerTBSummarySourceType parameter

  1. Locate LedgerTBSummarySourceType in the Name column

  2. In the Value field, choose your preferred import type:

    • 0 = Net Movement

    • 1 = Full Trial Balance

  3. Click the Save icon in the top‑right corner

  4. Repeat these steps for other data sources if necessary

Apply the changes

Manually process the HandiSoft solution

To ensure the new import type is applied, run a manual process of the HandiSoft Solution. Follow the instructions in: How to manually process the Access HandiSoft Solution

Once processing is completed, the import behaviour in HandiLedger will reflect your new setting.
