Zap Data Hub – Import data into HandiLedger

Import a full trial balance or net movement from Zap Data Hub into HandiLedger, then post transactions

Zap Data Hub imports accounting data from MYOB, Xero and QuickBooks.
You can then import this data into HandiLedger as either a full trial balance or net movement, depending on your configuration.

1. Open the Zap Data Hub import tool

  1. In HandiLedger, go to Tools

  2. Select Import from Zap Data Hub

2. Choose the clients and financial years

  1. Select the clients you want to import

  2. Choose the financial year(s) to be imported

3. Download the client data

  1. Click Download to retrieve the selected clients from Zap Data Hub

4. Assign reference codes

  1. In the upper pane, locate the Reference column

  2. Click the ellipsis button

  3. Select the appropriate client reference code

  4. Click Save

5. Verify or assign HandiLedger account numbers

  1. In the lower pane, review the Hs Acct column

  2. Confirm that the correct HandiLedger account numbers are selected

  3. When needed, use the ellipsis button to assign or correct account numbers

  4. Click Save to apply changes

6. Post the imported transactions

  1. To post a single client, highlight the client and click Post

  2. To post multiple clients, tick the checkboxes and click Post selected

7. Unpost if required

  1. If a previous posting needs to be reversed, click Unpost

8. Close the import window

  1. Click Close when finished

Additional information

  • The Refreshed column shows the last time your Accountant Solution was successfully processed in Zap Data Hub

  • If the data appears outdated, process the Accountant Solution in Zap Data Hub before attempting another import
