When you should refresh a data source connection
You may need to refresh your connection if:
Your client has removed your authority or access
Companies are missing
The connector shows an error
Data has stopped syncing from one of your accounting platforms
Refreshing requires signing out of the data source and reconnecting it.
How to refresh a MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks or Reckon connection
Follow these steps to refresh your data source connection:
1. Open the data source
Log in to Zap Data Hub
Open Resource Explorer
Expand Access Accountant Solution, then double‑click Access Accountant Solution
2. Sign out and sign in
Expand Data sources and select the relevant connector (MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks, Reckon)
Expand Connection details
Select Sign out (cross icon)
Select Sign in and complete the re‑authorisation
Review the Companies linked to your email
For MYOB Pro companies, connect via the MYOB Essentials data source
3. Test and process
Select Test connection
Select Save (top right)
Return to Access Accountant Solution tab
Select Process model, tick Publish changes, then select Process
If manual processing takes longer than expected
Processing delays may occur if your third‑party accounting software is experiencing network issues.
If the process fails:
Download the log file.
Raise a support case.
Include details about the issue and attach the log file.
Let support know whether you have contacted the accounting software provider to check for outages or data export issues.
