Zap Data Hub – Set up the new data model view

Use the updated Simple data model view to open data sources in their own tab, adjust settings (e.g., company selections), and save changes. You can also enable or disable data sources

How the updated data model view works

In the new view:

  • Selecting a data source opens it in a separate tab

  • Configuration changes such as company selection must be saved

  • Tabs must be closed after saving to return to the main view

This improves clarity and ensures each data source is edited independently.

Review and update a data source

1. Open the data source

  1. Click any data source within the Simple data model view

  2. This opens the selected data source in a new tab

2. Review or update settings

  1. Navigate to relevant screens such as Company selection

  2. Make any required updates (e.g., selecting companies)

3. Save and close the tab

  1. Click the Save (disk) icon in the top‑right corner

  2. Close the tab to return to the main model view

Enable or disable data source feature

Zap Data Hub now allows Administrators and Model Designers to disable or enable data sources. This lets you work only with the accounting systems your clients actively use.

1. Disable a data source

  1. Right‑click the data source

  2. Select Disable

  3. Click Save

A disabled data source will:

  • Display in grey

  • Be unavailable for configuration

  • Be ignored in processing

2. Enable a data source

  1. Right‑click the greyed‑out data source

  2. Select Enable

  3. Click Save

Notes about newly introduced data sources

Any new data sources added to the Accountant Solution by Zap Data Hub will be disabled by default. This prevents processing failures if newly introduced sources are not yet configured. You can enable and configure these new sources when you are ready.
