You can modify the reporting period on your Access Ledger reports, including the Trial Balance, to switch from the default financial year (01/07–30/06) to a calendar year (01/01–31/12). This is useful when preparing reports for clients who operate on a calendar year basis.
Open the Access Accountant Solution
Log in to Zap Data Hub.
Open the Resource Explorer by clicking the folder ellipsis on the left-hand side.
Expand Public, then expand Access Accountant Solution.
Copy the Trial Balance report to your personal folder
Expand Compliance Reports.
Right-click Trial Balance and select Copy.
Under the Personal section, right-click your folder and select Paste.
Double-click the copied report to open it.
📌Note: Copying the report ensures your changes do not affect all entities.

Click the < arrow to expand the Connection and Query slicers.
Update the Calendar slicer
Under Slicers, double-click the {...} Calendar slicer.
Double-click Current Month to open its settings.
Change the date hierarchy
Under Connection, expand Access Accountant Solution, then double-click Date.
Drag Calendar YQMD into the Date hierarchy field.
Click Apply.
Apply the same update to the remaining date slicers
Repeat the same drag-and-drop action for each of the following slicers:

Last Complete Year.
Years to Current.
📌Note: Updating all slicers ensures the entire report uses the calendar year hierarchy.
Save the report
Click the Save icon.
Close the editor once saving is complete.
Running your report
When you run the updated report:
Your date slicers will display the calendar year (for example, 2024).
The financial year view (for example, 2023/2024) will no longer appear.
Selecting a calendar year will produce the correct Trial Balance for 01 January – 31 December.
